Well, I manage to finish the Little Rock Marathon today with an official time of 3:58:57. Lets face it I did the race strictly for the medal and the race didn't disappoint. This medal is getting so big that it's hard to wear. You really need to sling it over your shoulder. My personal goal for this race was to see if I could do it under 4 hours again. Since I ran New Orleans last weekend I thought it be a personal accomplishment to see if I could repeat a week later. It was touch and go the last few miles...especially that last hill near the end.

As for the race....this is my favorite midsize race. It has a great course, great organization and very friendly people.  It's a hilly course...not Austin hilly but challenging none the less. They stick this big hill into the race around mile 13 and it tops out about mile 16.  I love running up this hill! It's still early in the race and when my rower's legs kick in I'm passing everyone. Along with this hugh medal and nice tech shirt you were also invited to the post race BBQ dinner with open bar.

I just hope now that I have legs left to run the Dallas half next weekend.

I dream of being able to go sub 4 on consecutive weekends, heck to run marathons on consecutive weekends.  Nice job John.
