Greetings Coasters!  Hope this week’s newsletter finds everyone well.   Not a lot to report this week, so this one will be short and sweet.

Looks like spring is finally here, as temperatures made it into the 70’s today.  I for one am about ready for a little warmer weather, but I will miss the cold Saturday morning runs.  With the temps creaping back up, I will take this opportunity to remind you to really pay closer attention to your fluid intake.  During the winter, we tend to drink a bit less, since we do not sweat as much.  Now is the time to start adding a few extra glasses of water and sports drink to your day.  Also make sure you are carrying water with you on short runs during the week.

Not a lot to mention in the way of races this past weekend.  John Moyer ran his second sub 4 hour marathon in 2 weeks by completing Little Rock and hauling home the giant medal weighing almost 2lbs!  Way to go John!  The Texas Independence Relay was this weekend and I had as much fun this year as last year.  Next year we are going to have a GCRC team again because I want more of our club to experience this race.  It is quite an adventure and just an all around good time.

I have heard that everyone really likes the lakes route we have been running, so we will keep running it for a bit longer.  If you are looking for more than 7 or 8 miles on a Saturday, please post on the discussion board.  We always have groups going out early for longer runs and at all paces.

Angie’s Half Crazy is now SOLD OUT!!  Not surprising since the first two years of this race were such a hit!  There is a waiting list forming, so check out angieshalfcrazy.com for details.

For those of you who have not made it out in awhile, please post on the discussion board and let us know how you are doing.  What is your next race, goals, etc…

Okay gang.  Have a great week and remember, we start at 6am this Saturday.
